We arrived in Jackson late afternoon Monday and began shooting Tuesday morning visiting Mormon Row and the Moulton Barn which some say is the most photographed barn in the United States. Both locations share the beauty of the Grand Tetons as a backdrop. Fall colors, low clouds and a magnificent mountain background all contribute to stunning views.

Leica M9 50mmThe town of Jackson is located in the Jackson Hole valley of Teton County and sits at 6311 feet (1901 m).

This is the beginning of the third morning in Jackson and we're waiting for sunrise. The past two days we've visited Teton National Park making stops at Teton Lake Dam and Reservoir, Jenny Lake, Oxbow Bend, Moran Junction, the historic Cunningham Cabin, Mormon Row, Elk Refuge as well as the smaller town of Moose. We've also visited the Gros Ventre area. The wildlife is still in the high country but should begin their migration into Jackson and the Elk Refuge within the next couple weeks. We have been fortunate to see hawks, pronghorn antelope, mountain goats, buffalo and moose (cows, no bulls) -- but all at a distance.
