Alaska – Day 34 Homer

We left the south view point of the “Mountain” in Denali State Park yesterday morning (Monday June 16th) headed to Anchorage and points south. Made it through Anchorage with no problems and later on decided to stop for the night at Bertha Creek Campground after spending all of $14.00 for our site. We found ourselves nestled comfortably in the woods near a small waterfall.

We left Bertha and finished our drive into Homer AK arriving early this afternoon (Tuesday June 17th) one day early than planned but nevertheless to a great campsite at the Driftwood Inn & RV Park . After only being here a short time we can readily recommend the Driftwood Inn as it is very quite and clean with a great staff. If you find yourself in Homer with or without an RV contact the Driftwood Inn, you won’t be sorry.

We’ve seen eagles and moose on our drive here this morning. Right now we plan on taking it easy and resting the rest of the day then head out in the morning to explore Homer.

We’ve got a couple images that haven’t been posted as yet but one of us is being a little lazy which means they should be up within the next day or two – we can’t complain about the internet as it is working great here.

Tammy, thank-you for your kind words

Later….

Sandy & Don
